The financial year 2024 was a challenging for Sedo Treepoint GmbH. In spring, the new Sedomat 6010 controller was launched and further milestones were achieved with digital tools. In August, the company marked its 46th anniversary while demonstrating resilience by continuing its successful internationalization strategy in a difficult global economic environment.

Mengerskirchen, January 2025: Sedo Treepoint looks back on 46 years of tradition in the text finishing industry in 2024. The company’s extensive expertise in automation was reflected not only in its high-performance control systems and applications but also in the expansion of digital tools and software updates. These advancements provided customers with a more comprehensive range of services that extended beyond day-to-day operations working closely with experts in process optimization and automation in Mengerskirchen, both on site and digitally.

Affordable control series for the highest quality standards
To offer a cost-effective alternative to top-tier models while maintaining the highest quality standards, Sedo Treepoint continually advances its products. In mid-2024, the company introduced the new Sedomat 6010 controller at ITM in Istanbul. This cost-efficient solution provides a powerful alternative to premium models, retaining top-notch technical specifications while meeting maximum requirements. It combines the advantages of high-end controllers with new features such as a 10” touch display and Modbus RTU, to enhance functionality.

Digital tools increase efficiency and reduce costs
In addition to existing software solutions that are continually expanded, Sedo Treepoint unveiled the cloud-based ColorMasterConnect color management tool at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2024 in Shanghai. This tool will replace the existing, client/server system programme, offering greater flexibility, efficiency, and productivity as the browser-based solution.

Building on its well-established HelpDesk service, Sedo Treepoint expanded its technical support for immediate assistance with control and software issues. Experts are now available worldwide on a 24/7 basis on request. A detailed examination of the machine or software tool will provide a precise problem analysis. With the help of TeamViewer, solutions can be implemented quickly to ensure smooth production.

Integrated quality management based on DIN EN ISO 9001

Integrated quality management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 refers to a systematic approach to ensuring and continuously improving the quality of products or services in a company. The norm defines requirements for a quality management system, including aspects such as process design, customer orientation, risk management and continuous improvement. It sets standards that help companies to work more efficiently, increase customer satisfaction and build trust with their customers and stakeholders.

This means that DIN EN ISO 9001 is the most important standard both nationally and internationally and forms the basis of a continuous improvement process for Sedo Treepoint’s internal quality management system. Sedo Treepoint was first certified for this in 2019 and has been successfully renewing the seal of approval ever since. From new customer acquisition to existing customer support and from personnel management to order controlling and project management, the focus is on transparency in all work processes. These quality requirements start with extensive incoming inspections of all products supplied and extend through all internal processes within the day-to-day business, right up to the best possible fulfillment of customer requirements and product as well as service quality. Especially for the development of the company, it was an important step and underlines the commitment of management and employees to work according to the standards in terms of customer satisfaction and the continuous optimization of internal processes.

Top performances in environmental management

In addition to the DIN EN ISO 9001 recertification, Sedo Treepoint has also been recertified by TÜV-Saar in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management standard. The DIN EN ISO 14001 certification complements the existing quality management certification perfectly, as not only quality issues but also environmental impacts are crucial to Sedo Treepoint. Because: The audit confirmed that the environmental requirements of the ISO standard are fully met and even exceeded. Since 2019, Sedo Treepoint has continuously reduced its carbon footprint, in particular through measures such as a 100 KWh photovoltaic system and an equally large second-life battery storage solution, which have reduced electricity consumption by more than 50 %. Employees also benefit from this by being able to charge their electric cars cost-free at one of the two electric charging stations. For example the complete electrification of the company fleet in terms of purely electric cars, the circular system of electricity generation, storage and electric mobility represents the key element of environmental management and exemplifies Sedo Treepoint’s carbon-neutral vision.
